Thomas is a leader on LeapFrog’s Global Health investment team, sourcing and evaluating opportunities across Africa and Asia. Most recently, Thomas co-led LeapFrog’s landmark healthcare investment into Goodlife Pharmacy in East Africa. Prior to joining the health team, Thomas was part of LeapFrog’s Asia investment team, contributing to the Group’s investments in SMK, Magma, and its most recent investment in BIMA. Before LeapFrog, Thomas worked with CDC Group in London, where he analysed direct investment opportunities across South Asia and Africa. Thomas began his career at Banc of America Securities in New York, focusing on IPOs, convertible debt instruments, and other equity derivatives. He then moved to the African Aurora Business Network in Ghana, where he provided young women entrepreneurs with pro bono advisory services and facilitated capital introductions. Later, at Excelsior Firm, a PE advisory firm based in Kenya, Thomas advised corporations and investors on investing in ICT and healthcare across East Africa. Thomas holds an MBA from Oxford’s Saïd Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Georgetown University.
