Mr. Oksner is Vice Chairman and board member of CP Homes, whose Chinese subsidiary is currently applying for a China public stock listing. CP is opening a 565-bed senior living facility and hospital in Greater Shenzhen, and is expanding throughout China in assisted living, home care, and health clinics via partnerships with residential developers and government-sponsored public private partnerships. Mr. Oksner has over 30 years of successful investment experience. He started his career in 1985 at Bear Stearns & Co. as part of the firm’s real estate investment banking group. In 1988 he joined Mitsui & Company to run the firm’s Western US real estate and new business divisions, and while at Mitsui acquired a company that was an active developer and operator of assisted living residences. In 1998, he moved to Tokyo and while in Japan headed GE Real Estate’s Asia new business group as well as Asian real estate for CDP Capital, owned by the pension fund Caisse de depot of Quebec. In 2007 he joined the fund manager Ajia Partners, where he helped deploy over $1.5 billion of institutional equity commitments. Among his accomplishments at Ajia was acquiring and selling the largest independent portfolio of senior housing and assisted living assets in Japan. Since 2012 Mr. Oksner has focused on the China aged-care market and has arranged equity and debt funding for several emerging operators. Mr. Oksner received an MBA from University of California, Berkeley and a BA in Economics from Tulane University.
